Dr Rakesh Kumar has completed his MBBS in 2003 & MS (orthopedics) in 2008. Prior to joining QRG Hospitals he was consultant in Department of Orthopedics, sports injury and arthroscopy at Asian Hospital & has also served as senior registrar at Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. Dr Rakesh Kumar has surgical experience of more than 1000 arthroscopic procedures of knee and shoulder. & has been performing knee arthroscopic surgeries for last 10 years.

- Regularly performing shoulder stabilization surgery bankart repair with knotless technique, Rotator cuff repair with single and double row technique, A-C joint reconstruction using tendon graft, and latarjet procedure in failed stabilization surgery bankart.
- Has been performing knee arthroscopic surgeries for last 10 years.
- Operated many professional athletes and players involved in high level sports.
- Has been using latest technique for ACL reconstruction like double bundle reconstruction, all inside technique in addition to transportal single bundle reconstruction.
- Single stage reconstruction of multi-ligament injury of knee.
- Excellent results with physeal sparing ACL reconstruction in pediatric age group.
- Huge experience with tendon repair and reconstruction in sports related trauma.
- Has been treating resistant cases of tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, partial ligament injury of knee and ankle using latest technique available like PRP injection, radiofrequency ablator etc.
- Has been operating for ligament reconstruction of knee and shoulder for years in different parts of country.
- Has started “see it and do it” programme where younger surgeons can do their arthroscopic cases under guidance in remote areas and learn how to improve the quality.
